I saw Peter at the gate 

But I was running really late

So I said to him at once

In the Holy books of old

And, yes I read the Golden Rule

They didn’t even teach in school 

Then I applied it in my  life

And it ne’er brought me pain or strife.

So if you’d pretty, pretty please

On my hands and on my knees
