The world we’ve built is destined soon to fall.
For we’ve allowed the greedy men to lead.

And they are greedy purely for greed’s sake
For who can be fulfilled extracting more
From Mother Earth than Mother Earth can take?
Humanity’s a thing that I deplore.

Most ev’ry day the signs of the collapse
Increase in number; and increase our woes.
The situation, masked by all the graphs,
Is worse than they are willing to disclose

A sad and sorry state we all are in.
Humanity flourished to its chagrin.
