About the state the world was in.

Though much assailed, I never bowed.

I understood the stakes therein.

And I withstood the consequence

and understood the pertinence.

The more I spoke the more it seemed

That no one else was listening.

My cry progressed to near a scream.

Still, no one was listening.

They all just carried on as if

The danger just did not exist.

“I must sound crazy,” then said I,

“For that is how they’re treating me!

Like a boy with rascal eye

Crying wolf maliciously.

Stupidly they pan my words,

Like masochists with futures blurred.”

So when that wolf finally comes ‘round

They’ll come to me with newfound awe.

But I will simply let them drown.

Wealth is evidence of flaw.

For in the end when chaos reigns

The only thing of worth is brains.
