Which is Your Favorite Led-Zeppelin Album?

I was just pontificating this on Twitter while listening to Physical Graffiti which is mine. I’ll share the tweet.

And somehow the Youtube Algorithm knows this because it always plays tracks from this album which I never complain about. For a long time it was Ten Years Gone which is one of my favorite songs by any band but I’m such a huge fan of that guitar riff Jimmy plays in In the Light around the point a bridge would normally be but this piece of music takes the place of a traditional bridge which sometimes solos do in rock songs. This is not a solo. It’s a simple but gorgeously beautiful riff on Jimmy’s Les Paul that he repeats.

Here’s the song so you can have some concept of what I’m talking about. But to me this is better Rock Opera than anything Townshend ever wrote.

I can’t do anything nearly that impressive but there are factors for that that I can’t do anything about: I have only been recording on a MacBook for around 7 months. The last song I had written prior to then was all the way back 25-years ago and it was called Jennifer Cries. So it was as surprising to me that I had somehow through osmosis become a really good songwriter in those intervening years as it has been to those close to me.

Anyway, which is your favorite Led-Zeppelin album?
