First sonnet in quite awhile. It’s one of my better ones I think.

I haven’t written sonnets in awhile.

I just stepped out to see if I could breathe.

I stopped but I ain’t really changed my style.

The poetry abides and dwells in me.

If you could feel it too, well then you’d get it.

It happens to me several times a day.

And I’ve no shame so I’ll freely admit it.

I always know exactly what to say.

But you can do this too. There is a blueprint.

For nothing done hath not been done before.

And you can walk in Egdar Allan’s shoe print.

Just copy Poe and write your “Nevermores.”

I can’t believe I wrote this by myself.

Are we sure it weren’t anybody else?
