A Weird Little Song Called I Bought Patchouli Oil

I love the part in this song that starts with, “I believe that we both can fly…” So gorgeous. I let someone listen to this the other day I bought patchouli oil from (which smells wonderful and I actually got a compliment on it at the seafood shop the other day by the lovely lady who works there. She said it made her feel like sleeping! Cute.) and she thought it was adorable. It’s definitely different.

LYRICS:

I bought patchouli oil
So i can smell like in high school
All of the freaks hang out
We know that we can’t be found out
Possible message was
There is so much more left for us to
Learn and discern
Absent return
Pew-colored view
At least now we knew

I believe that we both can fly
You receive me and next the sky
I conceive that you’re all alone
That’s why I’m calling pick up the phone

I can’t believe there are leaves on the ground
Seasons are simple and lovers abound
Look what we’re doing we swing through the trees
Higher than most can with deft and ease

I bought patchouli oil
So i can smell like in high school
All of the freaks hang out
We know that we can’t be found out
Possible message was
There is so much more left for us to
Learn and discern
Absent return
Pew-colored view
At least now we knew
