Starting a poem is fairly simple. You have an inspiration and you just start writing. Finishing a poem is much more difficult as any poet will tell you. I had a little trouble finishing this one and once I had I said to myself. “There. You’ve written a poem.”

I thought I was an atheist!
God prob’ly thinks that’s funny.
I’ve always been a rich man,
But I don’t have any money.
God was inside all along.
It took me years to learn.
Now that I do I sing to Him
I yelp. I yield. I yearn.
