Or better, a non-translation and Popularization of a word that describes a role and isn’t a title. Satan means “The accuser” think of a prosecutor in court whose job it is to lay accusations against the defense. That’s what this figure did in society when Job was written. And Job is one of the oldest books of the Bible. It’s actually a poem but it’s hard to tell due to translation.

But it did always strike me that Satan is so similar to Saturn. And Saturn’s deception is what is preventing the mass awakening of Man, but of course this is all God’s perfect design. If any of this were easy there wouldn’t be a point. “The Devil” plays a role too even though it was never meant to be interpreted as a literal figure.

Also check out this underhanded BS:

2 Corinthians 4:4New Living Translation

“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”

The oldest surviving copy of this verse from the Codex Sinaitacus:

“among whom the god of this age has darkened the understandings of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine forth.”

Now that is QUITE a change, right? The original text says nothing about Satan. Why did they add it???

And the reason I caught this was because I saw someone hawking a “wisdom” book on TikTok that quotes Jesus as saying this. PAUL wrote Corinthians!
