When I was writing the previous sonnet God Looks Through Your Eyes the first quatrain of this one was the original last quatrain of that one and this couplet was the couplet but I realized I had two separate sonnets so I sliced this off and wrote it into another sonnet. I hope you dig it.

I’m reading all Jones Very’s sonnets now.
He inspired me to keep writing my own.
It’s good to have examples showing how.
Shakespeare shouldn’t have to stand alone!

And who was William Skakespeare but the son
Of a glover? Seems important here to note.
Exactly where’s that education done?
It’s weird there aren’t records! Don’t they gloat?

“Oxford, home of Shakespeare.” It would say.
But no records like this even exist.
“It seems a trifle odd,” I do exclaim.
“I think I’ll look much deeper into this!”

I think I’ll tell Jones when I see him in dreams.
Will Shakespeare weren’t exactly what it seems…
