With these Christian websites littering the internet.
Look at this:
“There are several places in Scripture where the moon is described as a “light,” even though, as we know, the moon does not produce any light of its own.”
“We know the Bible says this, but the Bible is wrong.”
I trust the Bible MORE than you! And I trust my own two dang eyes and ability to think critically. The Moon is a lamp! It reflects nothing.
I see this all the time when all I’m trying to look up is verses in the Bible that talk about certain things I am interested in. I googled “does the Bible say what the Moon is?” and I got the answer, but it was through reading a site that wants to tell me the Bible is wrong.
“Genesis 1:16 describes the creation of the sun and moon this way: “God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night.” Other references to the moon as a light include Isaiah 30:26; Ezekiel 32:7; and Mark 13:24.”
So I got my answer. The Bible refers to the Moon most frequently as a light.
