God Has a Sense of Humor

I know this because He does things all the time that seem to serve no other purpose but to make me laugh. Well, sometimes it humbles me but, I don’t know about you, but I find that absolutely hilarious. Perhaps we don’t have the same sense of humor. I see people all over the internet who refuse to ever admit they were wrong about absolutely anything. You can’t possibly grow that way. The first step in order to grow from a mistake is recognizing you’ve made one.

I’ve got a magical way of doing that for people. I will post an opinion or some educated theory or even something I’m sure I’m right about on the internet and sometimes if it’s more objective than the reader is willing to be, they will respond as if you had attacked them personally, but more often than not, if, instead of engaging with them to basically reinforce the argument I already presented, I say nothing at all—I don’t like the response, I simply do not react in any sort of way—that has a magical way of forcing people to self-reflect and very often they will actually apologize to you after said self-reflection.

I had to learn this! I’m trying to help all of you find your way to this knowledge too. I used to think I had to correct every “wrong” opinion anyone had anywhere. When I realized that I am under no obligation to do that and it will more often elicit a negative interaction that will benefit neither party than to help either of you.

God’s so funny.
You might need money,
But it’s always sunny,
When the eggs are runny.

If you catch the hint I’m dropping,
You’ll choose one of two toppings:
Whatever God delivers—slivers.
From The Eternal Giver.
