I ain’t got time for nothing but gratitude.
Sell the drama over there.
You can testify to ignorance,
But it’s your job to be aware.
Everything’s a test, my friends,
And when you pass—
Heaven on Earth.
But not the one above you,
The one you have right to,
By claim of your birth.
You are the Phoenix. In a constant cycle of rebirths where your memory is completely erased each cycle, and I’ve got bad news for you if you thought it was going to be easy this time: Not only are you born bearing karmic loads from past lives, if you’re the firstborn, as I am, you bear the karmic load of your current life, that of your siblings, your parents and generational negative karma.
Here’s the good news though: you’re going to get there. You’re going to figure it out eventually. The best thing to do, once aware that the goal is to self-realize (Transcendence, Gnosis, Nirvana, Enlightenment. Go around the world and you’ll find lots of different terms to describe the same phenomena.) is to make sure you’re being willful enough that you are constantly moving in the right direction, without forcing things too much or harboring any guilt or self-blame for how far you perceive yourself to be away from that goal, and by virtue how long it is taking you to get there.
You’re always exactly where you are supposed to be. There are no mislaid steps. Every mistake you made was to force growth. Every trial thrown at you. Every pain experienced. Every heartbreak was meant to force growth.
All your exes were necessary hexes.
