You might think “Everyone gets a black eye at some point in their life even public figures.”

But I would challenge you to go and listen to every one of these public figures’ stories for how they got their black eye.

“A spatula sprung up and hit me.” -Pharrel Williams

“I was recording laying down on the floor and the microphone fell on my face.” -Jennifer Lopez

“I fell down a hill at a hotel.” -Jay Leno

Always a hotel! Have you noticed that? How many public figures die in hotels. Just off the top of my head, Chris Cornell, Michael Hutchence, Liam Payne just recently. You look yourself at how common it is. By the way: both Hutchence and Payne happened in Australia.

I want to point out another thing: all these people were forced to appear on camera with their black eye. That’s because it’s a part of a humiliation ritual. It’s a threat to stay in line.

Please don’t look upon these people and envy what you perceive as a life of privilege. All the advantages to fame and fortune are material and you are not here to acquire material possessions. Karma is real. When you hear these public figures talk about selling their soul to achieve fame and fortune, they are talking about the fact, they have given up the chance to become enlightened in this lifetime for the ridiculously meager advantage of having more material wealth than anyone could possibly need.
