I have to convince people I meet that my intentions toward them are good before they trust me. It’s a shame because I inherently trust people. But I always know when I’m being lied to too, so it’s just disappointing to me. I have been lied to by people I’ve had to convince my intentions toward them were good. It’s okay. You get all the love you give and none of it ever actually leaves you. Never regret telling someone you love them and not hearing it back if you meant it.
