All my life I've used the word 'wade' to mean walking through a shallow creek, not realizing it descends from the Caucasians who became the Germanic Northern Europeans who prayed to the god Wade when crossing rivers and streams.

I was listening to a YouTube while drifting off to sleep last night and heard this god mentioned and that he was associated with water. I made a mental note and then researched him further this morning. Interestingly, the planet with the strongest association with water is Saturn, who is Poseiden.
