I hope you all are following me on YouTube and checking out my playlists on there. They are for public consumption mostly. I’ve spent a long time curating those playlists and there are some really cool albums I’ve saved as playlists too including this one: Parish Hall. This record is fantastic and no one knows about it.

It’s from 1970 from an independent California label. It’s hard to find out much about this band, but it is a band and not an individual artist. The principle songwriter and musician is a man named Gary Wagner. No wikipedia entry for him or the band… or the record.

You can buy this on vinyl on discogs for around 30 bucks from several sellers.
Start with this song as an introduction to this record. It’s the last one but it will wet your feet enough to see if you will enjoy it.
“Reminiscent of the sound of another popular trio of the day, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Parish Hall had begun to gain the recognition of some European collectors by the late 1990s, and originals have fetched high prices in collector’s markets. All songs on this album are originals written by Wagner and hold up well when compared to other hard rock acts.”
