Why do generations of parents show their kids the movie Bambi without asking what sort of lesson it teaches them? What sort of morals? What sort of world is it creating to make them fearful of? Why does Disney want children to be fearful? Take a look at the average “Disney Adult.” It’s not a stereotype. It’s just what people look like when they lack impulse control.
And the same company did Old Yeller! Who did Where the Red Fern Grows? I showed that shit to my daughter when she was young and immediately regretted doing that. I was like, “Why do parents show that to their kids?”
It just traumatizes them. No, first it HYPNOTISES them, because that’s what movies do, THEN it traumatises them when they are most sensitive to it! That’s dark, man.
A Friendly Deer!
Dear, Friendly,
I saw that nasty Bentley
It nearly ran you over, Clover,
But I put it down gently.
