The point in doing this is the fear. The fear isn’t there to defeat you. It’s like letting your kid brother play you in a video game and you know you are going to let him win but he doesn’t know that.
YOU — the real you — already knew you were going to win when you started playing.
The you you THINK you are, has to remember that.
Then, what is there to fear?
Think about it, what could you possibly be afraid of? This game is rigged in your favor.
Think about a prank show. I love Scare Tactics. The idea sounds really cruel. You take someone who thinks they are doing a job for a quck $100 or whatever and you put them in a situation where they are genuinely afraid for their lives.
When the situation is over, and they realize the danger was all imaginary, almost immediately the reaction is gratitude… FOR THE EXPERIENCE! These people say they would do it all over again! That sounds insane, right? But it parallels what I’m talking about. If it weren’t so much fun to remember that there is no danger, that there is nothing to fear, that you are God on a human journey, then why would God keep doing it over and over?
Some of us realize we have had past lives. I hope you do. But we don’t all realize that we don’t keep coming back here because we keep failing. There is no failure here. It’s a journey. What would happen in the Lord of the Rings if Frodo just decided when he got close to Mordor that he couldn’t be assed to take The Ring to Mount Doom?
So don’t you dare think of giving up. Don’t you dare get to thinking things are never going to work out for you. I promise you they are, and they will.
Love.
