I was diagnosed
As never morose.
How can you be such when God has your back?
My life is filled
With love and with thrills.
There simply is nothing I lack.
I have to transcend though.
Create a crescendo.
Of awakening through my own waking up.
But I have to give grace
To myself—not a race.
I’m going to get there,
And that is enough.
