I wrote a long poem. I don’t do that very often because I often don’t have very much to say and I get to the point. My collection of poetry which I will link below is a collection of brief poems. That’s the theme of the book. Brevity.

I was a clever lad.
I had a real great dad.
He fostered growth in me at critica-
Cal times and I am glad.
He bought an encyclopedia and those
Bible Story books.
I knew more about the Bible
Than anyone in Bible School!
But learning led to realizing
These tales were all made up.
It took me many years to under-
Stand. And it was rough.
The stories aren’t meant to be
Interpreted liter’lly.
It’s not a document of fact.
It isn’t History.
These stories are all allegories
Most about the Stars.
The 12 Tribes of Ancient Israel?
The Astrological signs.
And Christ dying on the Cross
And rising 3 days later?
It happens in December every Solstance.
Screw the haters!
The Sun, it moves into the Crux .
(That’s Greek for Cross you know.)
It DIES there! I mean, doesn’t move
And in 3 days, “He rose.”
The Sun starts moving again.
It happens every year.
The 3rd day?
December 25th.
