A Love Poem to a Light in the Night Sky

You know. I was searching Venus’ relationship to the Sun, and I noticed there was a result that was answering a question about how Venus can shine at certain points no matter where the Sun is “supposed” to be in the solar system. (not what I was looking for)

I didn’t read it because I know why Venus glows. Because She’s a freaking GODDESS and that’s what they do. Right, Luna?

And don’t think I am cheating on one for the other! You think they don’t have other lovers? I hope that they do!

Mighty, mighty Aphrodite
Shine down on me, your lovely light.
I’ll drink it in like sunshine, only this will be at night.
Please bless me now, my lady.
I devote myself to you.
You know all the little details
Of exactly what I’m going through.
Just hand a message over
To your father, Mr. Sol.
I’m ready to surrender, Sir.
I give you full control.
