I thought I was an atheist

BECAUSE I read the Bible.

They told me that Adam was real

And so was the Flood and Noah.

But I knew at 15-years-old

Better than to believe that mess.

Miracles can happen—sure.

But that’s not the point of this blessing.

These stories aren’t history.

None of it happened.

So atheism was necessary for me.

We’re not meant to read The Bible that way.

But rather, symbolic’lly.
