Try to Find the Bliss

I’m very privileged I can do this because it immediately made me feel better and calm and at peace. I know it seems like I’m offering someone else advice but this is my soul speaking to me stream-of-consciousness style and it’s invaluable because I can bookmark this and come back to read it when I need a reminder. Thanks, Soul.

Try to find the bliss there is
In simply existing.
Whenever you’re in stress or pain,
Simply stop resisting.
I know it feels the pain is real
But everything is fake!
The reason you don’t hurt in dreams
Is that is your true state!

  1. So is life the nightmare?

    1. That depend on your perspective entirely. Life is designed to force you to grow so that can be perceived sometimes as a nightmare. I’m certainly guilty of that way of thinking and that’s one thing I’m trying to break myself of with this poem. But it’s not as serious as we make it out to be! It really isn’t. Alan Watts said, “Man suffers because he takes serious what the Gods do for play.” Think about that! We’re all immortal. We can’t die. Nothing can hurt us. Hard to remember, but also critical.
